Abstract
Astrology is an ancient discipline, which systematically studies the participation of archetypes in individual lives and collective events. This presentation introduces the method and research of archetypal astrology of Richard Tarnas and his daughter Becca Tarnas, who have been the researcher’s graduate professors. In his book ‘Cosmos and Psyche,’ Tarnas has performed extensive historical analysis of famous personalities and global events, providing ample evidence of the archetypal influence of planets and luminaries of our Solar system. Furthermore, examples of the synchronistic effects of planets and their aspects are demonstrated through a few personal stories from the researcher’s life. In addition, a brief theoretical framework for the possible natural mechanism of astrology is offered, drawing connections to the study of cymatics and the vibratory and resonance schematics of energy, as well as the Integrated Information theory of consciousness.
