The birds were also giving me guidance into a strange interaction that was then developing between me and an old friend of mine. Over the next 8 years, this relationship would fuel an unprecedented amount of symbolic dreams, visions, telepathic communication, synchronicities, among numerous other mystical experiences. It is what the New Age community identifies as a modern day archetypical journey of ‘twin flames.’ Whether it is objectively true or just due to imagination of people in love, the fact remains that multitudes of people around the world are going through this ‘twin flame experience’ and are discussing it online. The essence of it is that two individuals share the same soul. The one with the masculine essence runs from the feminine essence who craves romance and the dynamic sparks intense spiritual growth, accompanied by trying painful experiences, yet also leading to flourishing of abilities and potentials within those humans, the purpose of which essentially is to offer spiritual service to the world. The birds flying beside each other, but never really meeting, only perhaps in infinity where two parallel lines are destined to meet, were I think forecasting the purpose of this relationship – life-long spiritual connection, yet not necessarily a physical one. This experience has driven my deepest sense of meaning.
